Scanning must know what is the text orientation in the photo. When you take photos from within the application and follow the on-screen guidance indicating the “Up” direction we know what the text orientation because you told us! On the other hand when importing images it is imperative to find out what the text orientation is – we make it easy by automatically analyzing the image to make that determination. As of the time of this post, ScanBizCards is the only application incorporating this ability. Note: in about 5% of imported images we may get the text orientation wrong. You can tell this occurred if the text is not shown upright at the end of the scan. If so, just use the manual rotate button provided on the bottom toolbar to adjust the orientation then rescan.
